MMHA Return To Play - Updated Dec 3rd, 2020
MMHA Parent Screening Agreement
MMHA is committed to keeping players on the ice in the most safe and efficient manner.
Masks are to be worn at all times in the Arena until the player gets on to the ice. This is now mandatory.
There is a 48-participant limit per arena. Due to this MMHA is restricting the number of parents/guardians in the building at all times.
For the younger age groups (U5, U7, U9) one parent/guardian is able to enter the arena after the players have entered. This parent/guardian will need to perform a self-screening prior to entering and will be required to give their name to the volunteer at the front door. This parent must stay for the duration of the ice time and exit from the designated exit. All physical distancing, directional arrows and seating restrictions as laid out by the City of Merritt must be adhered to. There will be no in/out privileges.
For the older age groups (U11, U13, U15, U18) the participants allowed per arena will be players, coaches, managers and safety people.
The MMHA Board has decided that the players are the priority and we hope that all parents respect these rules. If we do not adhere to this strict number in the arenas the City will revoke our ice times. This will apply to all MMHA participants, Recreation and Rep included. Once numbers of participants allowed in the building increase, we will definitely open the doors to more parents and spectators. We are hopeful that this will be soon.
Thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate this season of hockey.
