Your Hockey Canada Registration number to begin your registration. Instructions on where to find your HCR# are provided at the beginning of the registration process. Once you have entered your HCR# in your TeamSnap registration, it will be stored for future registrations. It’s important to enter your child’s name exactly how it appears on their birth certificate and HCR member profile. E.g. Some middle names are included with first names.
A new player is one that has never played hockey before or is new to our association.
New players will require a Hockey Canada ID to register. The ID number can be obtained by completing the Respect in Sport (Parent) Course or if you have taken the course in the past, add the new player in Child Management and a Hockey ID will be created for them.
All new players are required to provide a Birth Certificate, either by uploading online at the time of registration or by email to nemgill@telus.net
Three (3) of the following residency documentations must be obtained: 1. Utility bill showing parent(s) name and new address 2. Canada Post change of address 3. School Registration 4. Driver’s License showing Parent(s) name and new address
There is to be no participation until the transfer has been approved by OMAHA and BC Hockey
*Transfers cannot be submitted from Feb 10th to June 1st

PAYMENTS
Earlybird registration closes on July 31st. A $150 discount will be applied to any registration before Aug 1st.
All fees must be paid in full by September 30th.
Payment can be made Online or Offline. If you chose Offline at the time of registration check-out you can still log back into your Team Snap account and pay online using a credit card. Team Snap charges 3.25% plus $1.50 when using a credit card.
Installments can be arranged through Team Snap upon registration completion on the Checkout page using a Credit Card or contact treasurer@merrittminorhockey.com if you wish to make installments via e-transfer.
Cheque, send to the mailing address P.O.Box 936 Merritt BC V1K 1B8. A $50 NSF fee will be charged on any returned cheques.
If registering 3 or more players from the same family, a multi-player discount of $50 per registration will be applied.
To get a receipt for registration, log into your TeamSnap account from a computer. You cannot get your receipt from the mobile app. If paying offline, please allow time for your payment to be processed before looking for a receipt.
REFUNDS
Refunds will be given for cancelled registrations only. The refund will be pro-rated based on the cancellation date. Any player who has been rostered that decides to no longer play will forfeit their Hockey Canada Insurance Fee of $55, the OMAHA membership fee of $16, plus a $50 administration fee. Any outstanding fees owed by the family to a team or MMHA must also be paid. No Refunds after November 30th.
TEAM FEES
Budgets will vary depending on the age group.
Recreation team fees typically vary between $200 - $450 per player, per season, depending on the team's budget, as voted on by the parents and level of team activities and fundraising planned. There will be a parent meeting at the start of each season.
Jersey Fee U18 only
A refundable jersey deposit will be collected for U18 players giving players the option to keep their jersey in their last year of play.
U11 Development Tryouts
Tryouts will only be offered if registration numbers allow it. If tryouts are offered, fees are due by August 31st. If the tryouts take place before August 31st, the fees are due before the first tryout session.
U11Dev tryout fee - $100
Tryout fees are non-refundable.
Carding Fees
If a U11Dev team is possible, players selected to a U11Dev team will pay an additional carding fee of $300, due September 30th. This fee is non-refundable.
OMAHA Regional U15 & U18 AA
Kamloops hosts two AA zone teams. U15 & U18.
All players trying out for a U15 or U18 AA team must register through OMAHA directly. All administration will fall under OMAHA, including tryout and registration fees.
Kamloops hosts a U13 Tier 1 Zone Team. These tryouts are independent from the OMAHA tier 2,3,4 tryouts. If released from this team, you will have to pay the OMAHA tryout fee to tryout for tier 2,3,4. (You may want to apply for both prior to the first tryout) OMAHA will reimburse fees if your child makes the Tier 1 team.
All players wishing to tryout must still register with Merritt Minor Hockey, indicate that you are participating in tryouts in your registration form. A permission to tryout form must be completed and signed by MMHA president and then sent to the KMHA office along with the tryout fees. Once your form is sent to KMHA then you can send $225 tryout fee to kamhockey@telus.net, prior to August 1st.
MMHA registration fees are not due for players that are trying out for higher level teams until they have been released from the higher-level tryouts, and it is determined that the player will be participating in Merritt Minor Hockey programs at which time registration fees are due in full by September 30th.
U13/15/18 A (Tier 2-4) Zone Pilot Registration - New Process
To be included in the Zone Pilot U13/U15/U18 tier 2,3,4 tryouts, you must register for those tryouts through OMAHA. Tryouts will take place in Kamloops. 1. You must still register through MMHA and select "yes” when asked if you are participating in tryouts outside of MMHA. There is no tryout fee attached to this registration because the tryout fee will be paid on the next step through OMAHA. Registration fees are not due for players that are trying out for higher level teams until they have been released from the higher-level tryouts, and it is determined that the player will be returning to MMHA at which time registration fees are due in full by September 30th. 2. You must register for U13/U15/U18 tier 2,3,4 tryouts through OMAHA and pay the tryout fee there.
MMHA will try to have female only teams in all divisions U9 and above. The number of females registering will determine the number of female-only teams that we have.
Female players wishing to try out for U13A require a permission to try out form and will need to indicate this to KMHA registrar. Kamhockey@telus.net
Kamloops hosts two Female A zone teams. U15 & U18.
New for the 25/26 season, all players trying out for a U15 or U18 Female A team must register through OMAHA directly. All administration will fall under OMAHA, including registration fees.
Players who register as a goalie from U11-U18 and completes the entire 2025/2026 season as a goalie, (if room permits) will have their registration fees refunded at the end of the season. Please send email to info@merrittminorhockey.com once you have registered your player as a goalie.
MMHA reserves the right to limit the number of goaltenders per division.
Registrants in U13 and above wishing to participate as a goaltender must register as such and are required to provide their own goaltending equipment.
Due to the large number of goaltenders in some age groups, acceptance for this position will be based on the date of registration.
Every effort will be made to accommodate all goaltenders.
